Blessing the Children Canada
The Canadian arm (BCC) was founded by Rick & Sheila Lamb as a result of a lifetime calling to missions. Prompted by their experience in Ethiopia, Africa in 2009 with Blessing the Children International, they returned home and began organizing a sister ministry of Blessing the Children in their home country of Canada.
They minister to orphans and widows in the community of Bishoftu (formerly Debre Zeyit), Ethiopia, Africa; assisting with various projects of Blessing the Children Development Organization, an Ethiopian based non-government organization.
Blessing the Children Canada’s mission is to improve the lives of orphans, widows, and impoverished families in Ethiopia; meeting physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs through Life Sponsorship, an Academy, and our Income for Life Program. We believe children must have their basic human needs met in order to have improved economic opportunities and quality of life.
We invite you to join us as we strive to build up Ethiopian orphans, working together as individuals from various backgrounds to bring change to the world in this Kingdom endeavor. We hope that you fall in love with the people of Ethiopia as we have, and are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities to get involved.
